Payment Methods?
I accept cash and checks.
Custom orders, I take half of the fee up-front
How much does shipping cost?
If I deliver, it is $1.00 per mile. Otherwise, it is a standard shipping rate.
How long does a custom order take?
If I have the wood on hand, and depending on the complexity, from 6 wks to 6 months. If I have to find the certain tree, it normally takes longer.
Do you need a special cleaner?
No special cleaner is needed. Pledge or whatever you use to dust your furniture works great. For pieces that have the bark left intact, you can just hose them off when needed.
Will you custom engrave our stump?
I have one and two-inch brands that I can custom brand names, letters, sayings. I also have brands with rodeo figures, Longhorns, boots, trees, deer tracks and more. I also do wood burning.
Where do you get your wood?
I harvest all of my wood from surrounding areas. I mill the logs myself using my sawmill and I do custom pieces. I do not have my wood shipped in. I handle and create my pieces from start to finish.
How long will the furniture last?
Wood, when properly prepared lasts a lifetime. I “cook” or heat my wood to eliminate the deterioration and to kill the bugs. Most wood artists, skip this process.
How often does the wood need to be sealed?
My pieces do not typically need to be resealed. I put from three to seven coats of polyurethane, indoor or outdoor, on each piece and I hand sand in between coats.
